چکیده

As an immune-inspired algorithm, the Dendritic Cell Algorithm (DCA), produces promising performance in the eld of anomaly detection. This paper presents the application of the DCA to a standard data set, the KDD 99 data set. The results of different implementation versions of the DCA, including antigen multiplier and moving time windows, are reported. The real-valued Negative Selection Algorithm (NSA) using constant-sized detectors and the C4.5 decision tree algorithm are used, to conduct a baseline comparison. The results suggest that the DCA is applicable to KDD 99 data set, and the antigen multiplier and moving time windows have the same effect on the DCA for this particular data set. The real-valued NSA with contant-sized detectors is not applicable to the data set. And the C4.5 decision tree algorithm provides a benchmark of the classification performance for this data set.

A Sense of 'Danger' for Windows Processes

The sophistication of modern computer malware demands run-time malware detection strategies which are not only efficient but also robust to obfuscation and evasion attempts. In this paper, we investigate the suitability of recently proposed Dendritic Cell Algorithms (DCA), both classical DCA (cDCA) and deterministic DCA (dDCA), for malware detection at run-time. We have collected API call trace...

Human Leukocyte Antigen-G Expression on Dendritic Cells Induced by Transforming Growth Factor-β1 and CD4+ T Cells Proliferation

Background: During antigen capture and processing, mature dendritic cells (DC) express large amounts of peptide-MHC complexes and accessory molecules on their surface. DC are antigen-presenting cells that have an important role in tolerance and autoimmunity. The transforming growth factor-beta1 (TGF-β1) cytokine has a regulatory role on the immune and non-immune cells. The aim of this study is ...

Liposome and polymer-based nanomaterials for vaccine applications

Nanoparticles (NPs) are effective and safe adjuvants for antigen delivery in modern vaccinology. Biodegradable nanomaterials with suitable properties are frequently applied for conjugation or loading with antigens; they protect the antigens from degradation in vivo. NPs are applied as effective delivery system to facilitate antigen uptake by antigen presenting cells (APCs) and especially dendri...

The Effect of Interferon Beta in HLA-G Expression on Monocyte in Diabetes Type1

Abstract Background and objectives: Dendritic Cells are the most important of antigen presenting cells with an effective role in immune tolerance. This study, aims to clarify the role of IFN- β in induction on dendritic cells derived by monocyte in diabetes type1 to evaluate the T cells response to beta cell specific antigenic molecule. Material and Methods: In this research, peripheral bl...
